Amethyst is a beautiful purple variety of quartz, cherished for her striking color and powerful metaphysical properties. This crystal is primarily found in Brazil, Uruguay and Madagascar, where she forms in geodes within volcanic rocks. The stunning purple hues of amethyst are due to the presence of iron and natural irradiation during formation. Ranging from light lavender to deep violet, amethyst's colouration and clarity are key characteristics that make her highly sought after. Known as the "Stone of Spirituality," Amethyst has been used for centuries to promote calmness, clarity and spiritual growth.
