Her distinctive hue is created when natural radiation interacts with traces of aluminium within her structure. With a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, she is both resilient and enduring, often forming as elegant six-sided prisms with a luminous sheen. She has been treasured for centuries, especially in the Cairngorm Mountains of Scotland, while equally beautiful crystals are found in Brazil, Madagascar, and the Swiss Alps.
