Sodalite is a rich blue stone often showing white veining or patches that add to her distinctive beauty. She belongs to the cubic crystal system and is a sodium aluminium silicate chloride. With a hardness of 5.5 to 6 on the Mohs scale she is moderately durable and can be found in countries such as the USA, Canada, France, Brazil, Greenland, Russia, Myanmar, Romania and Italy.
